The Lord Mayor’s Big Curry 2010

Now an established event in the City calendar, The Lord Mayor’s Big Curry returned for a third year on the 29 April 2010.

The Lord Mayor’s Big Curry 2010 was a sell out success which saw Guildhall packed to it’s historic beams with a mix of city folk, soldiers, supporters and people the charity have helped.

The Silent Auction and Draw offered the usual outstanding class of prize, including luxuary holidays to The Royal Palm Hotel in Mauritius and Soneva Kiri in Thailand.

Every penny raised went directly to the Current Operations Fund, which supports soldiers and their families affected by the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.

In the evening cadets descended on Guildhall with every intention of having a lot of fun! They enjoyed curry, interactive displays about the army and charity and then started the serious business of invading the stage and dancing the night away.

Preparations have already started for next years event so look out for the 2011 date soon for those diaries.
